It was another good meet up in Wellington yesterday evening with a few more new faces which was great to see. The evening started with a presentation from myself on “Blockchain Consensus with Proof of Stake” and then with Brett Holland from Creative HQ talking about the KiwiBank Fintech Accelerator
The most interesting part was perhaps the questions at the end of each presentation where the audience members could get involved and share their experiences and insight.
I talked about what proof of stake is, how it works and it’s relation to Ethereum.

Brett gave an insight into the KiwiBank Fintech programme and how it works. Mark posed an interesting question on the oxymoron of blockchain technology disrupting the financial industry but then having KiwiBank as one of the main sponsors.
