Here I catch up with Alex Sims, an Associate Professor in the Department of Commercial Law and a Research Fellow at the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies. She teaches a wide range of commercial law subjects. Her primary areas of research and publication are on blockchain technology, in particular, DAOs (decentralised autonomous organisations), the regulation of cryptocurrencies and legal issues surrounding smart contracts.
It was great to get some insights into her research and understand more about DAOs, NFTs and lots of other interesting facts along the way.
